Travis Rice

Travis was born and raised on a farm in central Wisconsin. At the age of fifteen he was taken out of public school and homeschooled. When he was 19 years old he received a G.E.D. from the University of Alaska-Bethel. After obtaining his GED Travis studied History and Agriculture at Brigham Young University-Idaho. While pursuing his undergrad, Travis took an interest in Law. After undergrad Travis worked as an intern and a legal secretary for the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. This love for the law led to him pursuing a law degree at the University of Idaho. In law school Travis put a higher value on field experience rather than academics. This hands-on approach led Travis to take advantage of the various opportunities presented to him in and around Caldwell, Idaho.
While in his second year, Travis worked for the Honorable Juneal Kerrick in Canyon County as a judicial extern. While working for Judge Kerrick, Travis was able to view a wide variety of different styles and case presentments from local attorneys. Travis was heavily influenced by this experience and decided to get more experience as a public defender. In Travis' third year he worked with a limited law license at Mimura Law as a public defender in Caldwell. As a public defender, Travis took his job very seriously and tried many cases. Travis was also placed in the Domestic Violence Specialty Court where he learned how to negotiate, try, and win domestic violence cases. In 2015, Travis graduated law school, but his plans didnt end there.
In 2017, Travis decided to open his own solo practice in Caldwell, Idaho. Since 2017, Travis has handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases of all types. Travis currently holds two public defender contracts in two seperate counties and his firm handles hundreds of cases a year.
